I haven't checked this section of the forum in a while so sorry for my late reply.

The book is in my opinion a good resource for learning gypsy style jazz guitar, containing a lot of useful phrases and ideas. At the moment I'm working on a another book that will be out soon.

Gypsy Fire is a study of how most gypsies play the acoustic guitar using restrokes and strictly gypsy picking. Since I play a lot of straight ahead jazz as well, i'm personally using alternate and sweeps as well as gypsy picking but these other techniques are not represented in this book, some of it will be in the next one.

J'ai le livre d'Andreas. Tout d'abord ce n'est pas une méthode mais un recueil de plans.
Donc si tu as déjà des bases en impro et que tu cherches à étoffer ton vocabulaire tu peux y aller sans problème. Y a un peu tous les styles, c'est très bien fait et y a un cd en support...mais ça reste un recueil de plans.

Yes, Rovello is right. This book is mostly phrases and not much of actual theory behind improvisation. I'd love to do a book about that too at some point.

No body-building book planned at the moment, too busy with music:)
