Accords Half-diminished

This one can be confusing, for one thing because it has many names, but also because these names can be repulsive. Its name is half-diminished and is written Ø (logically diminished divided in two...) because, unlinke the diminished chord, the 3rd and 5th are diminished but the 7th isn't. It's also called minor seventh flat five (m7?5) because it's well and truly a senventh minor chord with the 5th diminished a half-tone. Last but not least, in gypsy jazz, it's rarely written as half-diminished but as a minor 6.
