Hi Vincent.I don't see the famous restaurant "Chez Louisette" in this list..!
In den Siebzigern war das eine Kneipe,wo viel Zigeunerjazz gespielt wurde, aber das hat sich sicher geändert.
Jetzt ist es wohl ein gutes Restaurant... :D :

REAL AND TRUE WASTE OF MONEY
Submitted by Teresa Scaletti.
This truely is one of the worst, and HELP ME TO SAY WORST, place I have ever eaten. Oh my god. I have no words: the everlasting wait for food, the stressed out waitress (c'mon, I'm a waitress as well but I never allow myself to do such faces nor have unpolite attitudes towards customers), the HORRIBLE and fake food which for certain they just took out of the tin without any effort to satisfy all those hungry people who are willing to pay a whole lot of exaggerated money for a stupid and non-tasty salad with acid topping..poor us! And young and cute singers put there just to get a smile out of hearing people and who SADLY, after the exhibition, go around the tables ASKING FOR MONEY! What a shame for you, owners of Chez Louisette, SHAME for YOU. Not Only you have the courage to ask 9 euros for a salad pourri and as big as my cat's plate, but also, you ask for MORE money using the beauty and the fun of music.
I will never go back to your place ever again, and I will warmly keep everyone away from it; I'm sure, dear owners, that you agree with everything I've said.

:D

The last time I was "Chez Louisette" I saw and heard Linda de Souza in early 70s with Franco playing guitar...and the food was good !;=)

Been in Paris this Summer, wanted to buy any poster of Django and whenever I asked all people looked to be suprised what I'm asking about.... Is it possible that Django's legend is dead in France?

Yes, particularly check out the venues 'Atelier charonne' (http://www.ateliercharonne.com) and 'Aux Petite Joueurs' (http://www.auxpetitsjoueurs.com) for excellent performances from Parisian Jazz Manouche musicians.
